The library offers Copy on Demand for reading digitized books from paper

15 Feb 2021

Reading from paper or a screen is a matter of personal preferences and in some cases, a necessity. For books from our collection, you can choose what suits your needs the best.

There is an option to immediately open and read scanned books via E-loans service in the library catalogue. Over 10 thousand books from the whole university are available.

If you prefer reading from paper – and you can not borrow the book you need at the time – use Copy on Demand. We can print a part of the book for you, for a fee. This option is also available in the catalogue:

After clicking on the Copy on Demand link, log in using your UČO + secondary password, and fill in the form: a number of pages, their layout, and if you wish to bind the result. The form is only in Czech. If you have trouble translating it, do not hesitate to contact us at knihovna@phil.muni.cz. The copy will be ready within five working days. We will let you know via e-mail, and you can get it at the pick-up place. You will pay the fee for the copies at the pick-up place; please have cash ready (we cannot accept credit cards), ideally the precise amount.

The Copy on Demand option is available for all the books in E-loans, and those which are not borrowed and can therefore be accessed and copied.
