Changes to library opening hours
From February 16, 2026, the main library building will be permanently closed on Saturdays. The Reading Room with kitchenette and Group Study Rooms will remain available throughout the weekend (9 AM to 5 PM).
Makerspace Open: come and create
3D printing, embroidery, laser cutting, virtual reality, and other creative technologies – all available in the library’s Makerspace. Come explore what you can try and create.

What is the Makerspace?
The Makerspace is a creative area in the Central Library where you can experiment with modern technologies and work on your own projects. There are two rooms available – Makerspace 1 (4th floor) and Makerspace 2 (basement) – each equipped with different tools.
To use the Makerspace, you need to complete a training session. These are offered on scheduled dates (in Czech) or can be arranged individually (in English).
