In addition to the Central Library collection, users can also find the required books in the departmental libraries. It is a network of libraries at individual departments of the Faculty of Arts, with which the Central Library cooperates. If the document is stored in one of the departmental libraries, this information is indicated in the library catalog.

No description

Although the departmental libraries are currently closed, books with the designation Faculty of Arts – Departments can in most cases be borrowed or scanned using the E-loans service. To borrow the required titles or get a scanned version, it is necessary to contact the librarian from the given departmental library directly. In the case of the Department of History library, the order can be made directly through the catalog.

The lending of books is handled either by the libraries themselves or with the Central Library's Cooperation. In that case, the books from the departmental library will be possible to collect at the pick-up place. You will find out the exact information on the procedure by contacting the department librarian.

Overview of departmental libraries and their lending system:

  • The departments take care of the lending of books themselves: Department of Art History, Department of European Ethnology, Department of Linguistics and Baltic Languages, Department of Aesthetics
  • Lending realized through the pick-up point of the Central Library: Department of Musicology, Department of Classical Studies, Department of Theater Studies, Department of History, Department of Archeology and Museology
  • The library doesn't offer checked-out of the library loans: Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies (possible to request the book for e-loan - provided by the Central Library)

The exact rules must be verified on the department's website or at the department's librarian.
