We asked you, our users, to write a love or break-up letter to the library. The old-fashioned way, by hand. Thank you to everyone who took the time to do so, we really appreciate it. We read the letters together and believe us, they encouraged us to keep up the good work.
You mentioned the quiet, stimulating, and pleasant environment, as well as the beautiful architecture. You appreciate the versatility of the space, which can be used for studying, relaxing—and sometimes sleeping. Not just for sleepers, we have purchased a new sofa for the study room on the first floor.
“At a time when any public space with added value is becoming increasingly rare, an entire building full of wisdom and helpfulness seems like a miracle. I consider the library to be an island of peace and quiet in an otherwise very noisy and confusing world.”

Some things bother you, however. For example, noisy hand dryers. Dryers are economical and environmentally friendly, but unfortunately they are quite noisy. Thank you for mentioning this. We will look for ways to minimize the noise they make.
We are delighted that you enjoy our events, both educational and informal. We appreciate all the thanks directed at the library team.
“Thank you and all your staff for taking such good care of me and everyone else.”

We would also like to respond to specific suggestions that appeared in the letters.
We understand that sitting for long periods of time can be tiring. We can't build a gym, but we can offer stretching exercise that you can do right in the study room.
Thank you for your suggestion! We now have 333 board games, which you can find in the catalog. And if you can't find a particular one, don't hesitate to suggest it for purchase, just like you would with a book.
We have received a request to be considerate when the library is busy. Thank you for looking out for each other.
Firefox should be available everywhere. If it is missing somewhere, please let us know—ideally with the computer number.
Thank you for helping us make the library 🩵
